- Raisinhill's song "Nameless" is featured (Track #3) on the JamOff! CD compilation attached to Relix Magazine's August issue. Stay tuned for extensive east coast tour dates for the fall as well as a special Halloween show announcement!

- Relix Magazine has just announced Raisinhill as one of the ten winners for their JamOff Competition! A song from each of the winning bands will be compiled onto a CD which will be attached to a future issue of Relix as well as distributed at summer festivals this year. Raisinhill has also been selected as one of three winners to perform at the JamOff Winners Showcase to be held at the Lion's Den in New York City on Tuesday, April 20.

- Raisinhill has been nominated for a Jammy Award! Please vote Raisinhill for the New Groove award at www.jammys.com. The awards ceremony will be held at the Theater at Madison Square Garden in New York City on Tuesday, March 16.

- Raisinhill announces Southeast tour dates for September! The band heads south to perform at many of the venues first visited last April, as well as expanding the loop to include Tennessee, Georgia and South Carolina. - The summer is upon us! Raisinhill will make several exciting festival appearances this season including the Gathering of the Vibes, Endless Mountains Music Festival, SoNo Arts Festival and SoulFlow. Stay tuned for details of a Southeast tour scheduled for early fall.

- Whew! Raisinhill has been touring relentlessly since early February in support of the new CD. Summer tour plans are coming together, along with confirmed slots at several summer festivals. Filmmaker Greg Hemmings recently released three Raisinhill videos, filmed in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Check them out and pick up a copy of his latest music documentary at independentmedium.com. - Raisinhill is currently touring the Northeast in support of their new self-titled CD (which is available at shows and through the Home Grown Music Network). A new photo gallery has been added of the February 1 show at the Knitting Factory's Old Office. Thanks to all who attended and packed the room! Raisinhill is now looking for "street team" volunteers to help promote shows in your local area. Email John if you'd like to help.

- Just over two weeks until the Raisinhill CD release party at the Acoustic Cafe! The trio's first full-length CD will be available at the show on Saturday, December 21. New photo gallery added! Check out some pictures from Raisinhill's autumn tour. From now until the end of 2002, a new gallery will be added to the site every Monday. Raisinhill will not tour during the month of January. They will spend the time writing and rehearsing new material. Check back often for updates regarding their February/March show schedule.

- Tracking has been completed for Raisinhill's first full length CD scheduled to be released in November. The session was engineered by Jay Crouch. Tonight's show at the Acoustic Cafe kicks off the Autumn tour to include Northampton, Providence, Burlington, Plattsburgh, Ithaca, Syracuse and the Harvest Celebration Festival.

- Raisinhill has left the country. We hear they've headed up to the Evolve Festival in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. They're bound to return with some new stories and photos to share. In the meantime, check out the updated tour schedule and message board.

- Scottypaluza 7.0 is over but it has marked the beginning of a very exciting summer festival season. Stay tuned as Raisinhill releases information regarding additional festival appearances this year. A recent Raisinhill show was recorded with the plan to release it as a full length live CD. - Two new shows added! We're pleased to announce that RAISINHILL will be part of the The Pallota Benefit concert featuring Jazz Mandolin Project. The proceeds of the event go to AIDS research and development for children in South Africa. There will be some tickets available for this benefit concert at RAISINHILL performances leading up to the event on Saturday, February 9th. See show dates for details.

- Happy New Year Everyone! The guys of RAISINHILL are facing 2002 with high expectations. As we get closer to the Acoustic Cafe gig on January 31st, the band continues to write and rehearse new original material. There are plans to make studio recordings of these new songs as soon as dates can be set. A local filmmaker is scheduled to videotape upcoming shows for a future project.
